Overview
User Restricted Templates allow you to control which users can use specific templates in nShift TMS.
This article explains how to configure User Restricted Templates on a your account.
The User Restricted Templates feature must be activated on the account before configuration. If it is not active, you must contact Customer Support to enable it for you.
Step 1: Mark Templates as User Restricted
- Go to Settings / Your Account → Templates
- Click Edit next to the template you want to restrict
- Tick User restricted
- Click Save
Repeat for all templates that should only be visible to specific users.
Step 2: Assign Templates to Users
To select which users can access the restricted templates:
- Go to Settings → Preferences → Users
- Click the username of the user you want to configure
- Go to Settings / Your Account → Templates
- Tick the checkbox next to each template the user should see
- Click Options → Show Template for this user
Repeat the steps for each user who needs access to specific templates.
